Since i was able to write my name, art has been my desire. when i sit with nothing but a pencil and paper on my lap, i feel like everything now makes sense, like i could never go wrong. it suddenly makes your life so much more colorful! As long as i still have an eraser in one hand, im prepared for all mistakes.

I am excited for a new year and a new art class. Last year I was surprised with my art and how interesting it came out to be. And I can't wait to see what is to come this year. There are new fellow classmates and I am also excited to see their unique work because thats what descibes someone's personality best. Hoping for another fun year!

M.C. Escher

I find this piece of artwork by M.C. Escher very interesting. I liked how there was all these different ways you can position it and each way revealed a different way that you have to figure out why Escher decided to do that aspect of the work the way he did. He has other pieces of art work that is like this one, but i enjoyed how this on all the stairs were connected in a way.

First Marking Period
The entire first marking period was a journey for me. I'm taking on differnt challenges and every choice you make changes the outcome of your art peice. I learned so much from these past assignments. From the still life drawings of apples to the self porstaits. I enjoyed this marking period and I can't wait to take on the rest.
Self Postrait
I've done a couple self portaits in the years past but the one I've been working on has been the most successful and fun to work on. Inking then coloring back over the painting seems like a lot of work but its worth every minute. Theres times when the bell would ring and i hated to have to put my pencil down. The more I work on it, the more it looks like me.
Still Life Drawing
During the first marking period i worked on a still life drawing of fruit. It tought me to use colored pencils to turn a two dementional pencil drawing into a three dementional art piece. Overall, i had fun with the assignment.
