M.C. Escher

I enjoy this artists art work because his art work makes the mind think in different ways. When you look at his art work you have to look at it for a while to try and understand it. All his work is much different for other artist, his art isn't just plain and simple like many other artists. M.C. Escher is known as being one of the most famous graphic artist. Escher sketched over 2,000 sketches in his life time. He is also well known for his impossible structures. Aside from sketching and creating structures, Escher also illustrated many books, he designed tapestries, postage stamps and murals. Escher was born in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. When he was 5 he then moved to Arnhem, Netherlands. He failed his high school classes then enrolled in an School of Architecture and Art, this is where it all began. Escher told his father he'd rather study graphic art instead of architecture in Haarlem.

I find this piece of artwork by M.C. Escher very interesting. I liked how there was all these different ways you can position it and each way revealed a different way that you have to figure out why Escher decided to do that aspect of the work the way he did. He has other pieces of art work that is like this one, but i enjoyed how this on all the stairs were connected in a way.
